So last Saturday I was chillin in Starbucks trying to avoid having to be responsible and pay bills, when suddenly my best friend called and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the lake with her and the kiddos....

hummmm....such a tough choice...(she really had to twist my arm hahahaha!!!)

We had such a good time. Jen and I have been best friends since our begining years of college--we have been through thick and thin together, and her friendship is one that I know will last our entire life! I know I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend, and I realize that such things do not happen every day!-- Thus, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to go to the lake and hang out with her and the kiddos and of course get to take pictures of them along the way.

Her little ones just hammed it up for the camera- they are naturals! and of course Jen is just radiant! She pours out love for those kids--some of my favorite shots from the afternoon happened when she was just looking at them playing.

We recently went home and of course we hung out with my sister and her puppy "Stogie"---my son LOVES Stogie and thinks he is the best puppy ever. Seeing them together made me want to get him one of his own so he can have a best friend at home. I think we might try to soon! What an adventure that would be!

Last year about this time I went to visit my sister and her hubby and take some family portraits for them. We had a wonderful time hiking all around the mountains by their house with thier "kids" (aka the puppies) It was great they are such a fun and loving couple.

A couple weeks ago I visted them again, to update their family picture. I was excited to document thier newest addition a charming puppy named 'Walnut'. In any case we stayed at thier house for the session, my sisters house is a photographers dream-- beautiful diffused lighting is everywhere, goregeous colors and great textures, but I digress...

I am so blessed to have such a beautiful sister--she truly is amazing both inside and out- her heart is so big and she is just the most loving person you'll meet. (Love ya sis!)

I was very excited about how some of the close up pictures came out of her--the reminded me a little big like a modern version of "The girl with pearl earing"
